How do I get rid of skunks

A skunk killed my broody hen and distroyed the nest.
In two more days they would have hatched.

How do I deal with a skunk? I would like to poison it.

We have them here but have been fortunate and haven't had to deal with them...our landlady has a farm behind our "Mini" and she constantly battles them. Our coops/run are secure with Australian shepherd back-up.

The landlady uses live traps and a shotgun...I have two handguns but don't plan on getting that close.

Animal Control may help you. When I was a kid my mother called them often. They'd come out, find the den and set out poisoned eggs.

get you a live animal trapp bait an set it.an if you catch a skunk kill it.then reset the trapp.
