how do I help hatched chick with leg developed to the side?

Only 1 out of my 5 eggs has hatched, and the chicks leg is bent outward instead of under! Its not able to walk. I think I've heard about this happening....what do you do? help!

I've not hatched chicks, but you could do a search for splayed legs. There's lots of advice on the site. That may help you until someone replies.

What are you using for ground cover? Don't recommend newspaper as it's "slippery". Towel or shavings or even the non skip cabinet liners are good.
