How do I introduce a new hen??

I have 2 15 week old pullets and I decided to buy a 7 week old polish how and when do I Introduce them??

Right now I'm introducing another one to the flock. I stuck him in a large metal dog kennel and he's been in the coop for almost a week now.

After a week or two, let them outside and then let the Polish out. There will be some flapping and clucking, etc. but that is normal.

Ok thank you both!! Now one more question I have been doing research on this breed and the more I read the more she looks like a he... Tell me what you think.., is this a roo???

Looks like a girl to me, but it's hard to tell with Polish. Be very careful when you introduce her, especially if she's younger than the others. If she's a different breed than the other hens, they may bully her. Ideally, it's best to introduce two or more hens together into a coop, so they aren't picked on. Putting her in a cage in the coop so that they can get safely acclimated (about two-three weeks is safe, I think) is the best way that I've found. To be honest, I'm guilty of getting impatient and opening the cage door early to see how they get along.

So my polish that is above now has horns on her head does that automatically mean she's a he???
