How do I introduce my chicks to the roost?

I have two 8 week old chicks who are still sleeping by themselves in a separate coop.
The mini coop that the chicks are sleeping in is attached to the main coop and run so that I just let them out every morning to mingle with the big chickens.
The mama hen stopped sleeping in the nest with the little chickens and moved back to the roost for the night, but she either never showed the chicks or it was too high up for them when she did.
How do I move the chicks to the big coop?
Please advise...

Close off the mini coop and you'll likely have to move them into the big coop at night for a week or two for them to figure it out. You might want to install some low roosts to help them.
