How do I keep my chickens from a certain place if they free range

Hello BYC! So I have a flock of eight chickens and they free range which is great, but they keep popping by my front door. Is there any way to keep them away while still letting them free range? Also does anyone know why one of the chickens has a random little puff its head? I can get a picture later.

Any help would be very appreciated! Thank you!

Maybe add something like a fence or railing around it? The only solution I can think of is to block them from going there somehow

I would do that but I can’t put a fence up without blocking people from getting in the house.

I made a catio on my patio for 7 cats after a family member passed.
Now the ladies inside and outside cats don't fight everybody elses cats and have a home of their own .Best of all my chickens can't poop all over the patio anymore.I boxed it all in and added a storm door!
