I got two males and a female from a breeder .was hoping for all females but two turned into males .so I picked up a new khaki Campbell female and she is loud as all hell. Is there a way to keep them silent .My original ducks only make noise when I'm around . The new one went nuts over a sparrow today and is annoying the nieghbours .is they a way to keep them silent . I provide a pool and three types of feed. Plus lettuce every morning .the original three like I said are well behaved .this one I'll have to get rid off if she does not quite down

I was just wondering if there is a way to make her less talkative .Like I said my original three are very silent .only vocale near me .this new one quakes at all animals and humans . I live in the city. So if she keeps it up I might have to get rid of all of them . It's only day two for her .but she is going nuts over sparrows .

I'm new to this. My Welsh harlequin female is very silent .And the males I adore. One khaki one Welsh. They are great. But the new female is very loud.

Girls are waaaay louder than drakes in general. They have totally different voices. I think my drake chatters just as much as his ladies but you can barely hear him. Some ducks are just loud. That’s their personality. I have one that honks at EVERYTHING. Every little thing gets her riled up. Right now your girl is new and EVERYTHING is new and exciting and interesting and scary. Hopefully she will settle in and your drakes will keep her in line and let her know that things aren’t so scary and teach her where to hide from the sparrows etc. I’d give her some time.
