How Do I Keep the Temp Stable?

We are on day 20. This is my first hatch. My temp has stayed stable for the most part.


I honestly just took a knife from the kitchen and gave the cooler a bunch of stabs to lower the temp. It was way high before I made some holes. If you accidentally make too many holes or they are too big, then just cover them up with duct tape.

to have stable temps you need to have ventilation......

so best is to have a couple holes down low on 1 side and up high on the other.. to make a cross flow for ventilation.

Thanks you guys! and i put my hand in the bator when i got up this morning and it was supposed to be 100 degrees but it didn't feel warm. is that normal

100 degrees and also how do i keep the temp at that when i go to flip the eggs

You could make an egg turner like the one that I have made, or you could put an egg carton in it, and put the eggs standing up in the egg carton, and tilt the incubator to turn the eggs.

thank you for the suggestion but I'm gonna keep it simple, if you know what i mean, I'm architecturally challenged....i set my eggs this morning. does it hurt to turn them too many times a day?
