How do I kill it?

Keep us posted! We have a pack of coyotes and a family of bobcats that frequent our yard and have taken most of my chickens in the last few months. I'd like to hear what your final solution is and how you outsmarted the little guy! Good luck to you.

I totally agree with you! We have chickens and cows and when predators start hanging around we have to get rid of them because they don't care what they do to get their kill. I don't agree with drowning an animal when a gun is a much more quicker way to handle the situation. And for people who say you are being irreponsible for free ranging, I say you would be more irresponsible if you did not take care the fox issue and just let it feast on your animals. I shot a bobcat last year while deer hunting and so many people acted like I should not have taken this animal but it was too close to my cows and a bobcat can kill a young calf or even worse just bite it in the throat and leave the poor baby suffering until death or possibly a long recovery.
My suggestion to you is to look for tracks on the ground and see if you can tell where this animal is coming from and you may have a better chance at the fox away from your flock with a rifle. A 243 rifle would do a good job at a distance and aim for either the head or just behind the shoulder so the job can be done in one shot. and never feel bad about protecting your animals from predators of any kind. You have the right to protect your animals on your land. Good Luck!
