How do i know if my hen is fat?

hi one of my EEs who eats a LOT has a belly that is fat and feels swollen (but could just be big). she doesn't seem to be showing any other signs of illness, though she doesn't lay a whole lot (she is 1 year old). The others seem alright. She eats layena purina organic feed, and veggie scraps.

How do i know if the belly is swollen or if she's just fat?

I have yet to see a fat 1 y.o. chicken. They get fat later in life.
