how do i make them go broody?

i have 4 rhode island reds and 3 spanish game and i wanted to know how i could get one of them to brood all of the eggs. i've marked the eggs with a sharpie and i just left them in one of their boxes... is that the right thing to do? please help

I'm sorry to tell you, but you can't make a hen become broody. It's controlled by hormones, not humans, or even the chickens themselves. Your just going to have to wait for them to become broody by themselves. By the way

Yep you cant make a hen go broody My cochin did at 8 months and also my Jap Bantam but the others are a year old and nothing from them
