How do i over come breakup depression

Only time will help,just don't do like I did and marry same one twice.It sure is hard the 1st few weeks.My ist wife of 17 years ran off with one of my friends,i was really upset,but after a time I wanted to reward him.Hang in there
 
Welcome to the BYC flock though I wish it were under better circumstances! So sorry for your loss.

It's been 15 years since my last breakup - at some point I got over the depression - decided I kept dating the same kind of jerks. Discovered I was better company (for me) than they ever were. I've been a lot happier ever since.

There is a thread in the rambling section about breakups but, can't recall the title.
