How do I re-introduce a chick into its brood-hen

Hi I had too hatch an egg with an incubator the other day after our hen stopped sitting on remaining eggs. One more chick has hatched after 3 days. the naturally hatched chicks are now 4-5 days old. I have just put the new day old chick back in with the hen and chicks but neither the chick nor hen seem to know what to do.

Any advice would be Reallt great RIGHT NOW. I don't want the poor little thing to die from not being mothered.

I would suggest tucking the chick under the mother when she and the babies are all sleeping. Hopefully in the morning, she won't notice the newcomer among the other chicks. Good luck!

Thanks for that but it looks like the little outsider finally snuggled up under mum before dark....whew.
