How do I sell my chickens?

My chickens (17 months old) aren't going to be able to come with me when I move. They've been great layers and brooders and I want to see if I can recoup some of the money I've spent over the last year by selling them.
Where can I post them for sale? I heard Facebook doesn't allow livestock sales.... also, how much to ask for them? They are Buff Orpingtons and Barred Rocks, and are unbelievable layers. 7 birds dropped easily over 3 dozen eggs a week in the summer, and about half that over winter even without a light.

Craigslist is the fastest usually, especially if you don't ask any questions

They don't, but you just have to be careful how you word things in the post.
Find a local poultry group there.

When I usta use FB I would join my city and state chicken groups and would post pics of them and write something like

"12 barred rock and orpington hens up for discussion! PM for details
Jackson TN"

Id make a craigslist posting too so theyd sell pretty fast between the 2 sites. Around here those hens would bring about $15-20 each.

They're young and healthy looking you shouldn't have any problem selling them if you just posted them in feed or tack stores near you.
