how do i sex rhode island reds

i have two 4 month old rhode island chickens and want to know how to tell a pullet from a cockral? they are both forming black tail feathers just one bird they are getting longer and curling down which im guessing is a rooster and the other has really short black tail feathers pointing upward they are both the same age.

By 4 months they should be pretty easy to tell by their comb/wattles. The pullet won't have much of a comb until she starts to lay.
