how do i stop soft egg shells i give them oyster shells but 1 still made a soft egg

I had a couple new pullets laying a soft shell and no shell and I gave them plain Greek yogurt mixed with bananas. I'm not saying that was the fix but I haven't had soft eggs since. How old are yours?

you can also provide some grass if they are not free ranged. Greens also provide lots of calcium. There are other causes of soft shell. How old are your chickens. Did they just start laying or are they at the end of their laying age?

I don't give my hens Oyster shell just because they can get calcium elsewhere, they free range sometimes and when I can't free range I give them weeds from the garden. I give them dried and crashed eggs shells.

Mine can't free range because they go into my neighbors yards and it annoys them we made the a pretty bid pin though
