My hens have no feathers on the undersides, if you know what I mean, so I got the dust to control the mites. But after reading the information on the can, which turns out to be nothing but extensive warnings on how toxic this substance is, there are no directions on how exactly to go about using the dust. It's called "Garden and Poultry Dust" by Prozap. I didn't know if I should make an area of dirt mixed with dust that they would bathe in, sprinkle the dust directly on the chickens, or sprinkle it all over the inside of their coop. Also, if this is so harmful to humans, why is it okay for chickens? Will I be able to eat the eggs after this, or will I need to wait a couple weeks?
