How do I wash my chicken, I think she needs a butt bath!

One of my light brahma girls has a very messy butt! Her actual opening isn't clogged up, there is just a trail down her butt from her poo

How can I clean her up? A little baby shampoo maybe?

I'd get a basin or bucket with luke-warm water and just dunk her butt a few times until the poo washes off.

You can also just trim off the dirty feathers with scissors. Sometimes shortening up those feathers back there helps prevent future buildup.

Maybe a spray bottle with water and a little vinegar in it.
