delete a thread? I have some that are just pointless.

It depends on how long the post has been up. If it hasn't been up for very long there will be an edit (pencil), a delete (X) and a report button at the lower left corner of your post. The edit and delete buttons will only show for you on your own posts and only for a certain amount of time. If they are showing you can delete your post by clicking on the delete button and following the instructions.

If the post is old enough that the edit and delete options are no longer available, you can click on the report button and type in the message box why you want it deleted. A moderator will see the generated report and attend to it as the moderator sees fit. If the moderator does not see fit to delete the post/thread in question the moderator is likely to give you an explanation of why. The moderators can be very busy so please allow them lots of time to respond.
