When a pullet is ready to mate and she likes the rooster, what should she do when the rooster dances for her?
What will she do as far as giving him the okay

If she's cool with it she'll squat, if not she'll move away.:)
Lol. When he dances she keeps walking. Lol
Does egg laying mean she's ready to mate?
She started laying last week, but haven't seen them much since it's been raining every day, here in Texas.

Yes, that means she's physically ready but if she's moving away she just isn't feeling him mentally yet. Rooster should be getting lucky very soon though! :)

He's been getting lucky, not by her choice. He may be dinner in the near future anyway, he keeps trying to attack my slides, so he hits ne sometimes

Ohhh! Lol! They do get impatient sometimes. He should never attack the person who brings the food, that just isn't smart at all.
