How do you break in a Wafer thermostat?

I’ve seen a few posts indicating that some people are under the impression that wafer thermostats either need to be, or are benefited from breaking in (stretching) a wafer thermostat before first use.

can anyone provide the process used for this in any form of detail please?

Well if "breaking it in" requires the expansion and contraction of the wafer, the easiest thing to do is plug up the incubator and let the wafer naturally do what it does for awhile. How long, I have no ideal. If the wafer holds the temp, then why bother with breaking it in?
