How do you call your chickens to come to you?

I've been saying, chicks, chicks, chicks, chicks. with a rising pitch. Or their names. it doesn't work, yet.

Try putting a little feed in a can and shake the can.

You can train them to come to whatever you want. I give mine scraps of veggies and fruit while calling chickie,..chickie...chickie. They learn fast that food is associated with the words. Now whenever they see me they run to the fence hoping for a treat.

I go: "Here little chickens! Little chickens!" If you want them to come every time give them food when you call them

I don't have to call them, whenever I go down to their pen they are allready waiting eagerly by the door for me.

I do call out "hello ladies" though.
