I want to make sure my silkie is gong to be ok. She has just been standing around and she had a rubbery egg thing hanging which I pulled out. She did drink after that and now I have crushed up some egg shells and she ate those. About one eggs worth, should I give her more. It is dark now so maybe that is why she is still just standing, I brought her in the house now.

well i would put rubber gloves on and gently well stick your finger up there LOL. this would be the less squimish people. If it gets stuck use some oil. Sorry this sounds so gross.

Well, I think I'm brave enough to try, but you have to be careful about pushing stuff farther back in right?

You might try a little vaseline. It will help ease the way in and also help anything that needs to come out.

Ya you have to be very gentle and careful olive oil or vasaline will work then If you find an eggs there are alot of posts on here about the procedure to get it out don't try and pull it out or break it yet.

*Not really meaning to make lite of a potential problem here-- but when I told DH there was a post I was watching bout something stuck in a vent-- He bout killed me by saying, " They should drop a golfball down it-- That'll knock loose whatevers stuck in there." OMG!!!

Well, Cotton seems to be doing better and I never did have to try and pull anything out of her vent. I tried to look and I couldn't see anything more, so I just let her be and today she is running around again, now she went to bed, its dark out!
