How do you fix cracked shell before incubation? Read it's possible

I have read somewhere on this forum of people repairing cracks in hatching eggs with some sucess. I just received some shipped eggs and one egg is slightly cracked. Rather than toss it I thought I'd try the repair but can't remember what they sealed it with. Does anybody know? And has anybody sucessfully hatched a repaired egg?

I heard it was candle wax

I just had to patch a cracked duck egg...with candle wax, worked like a charm!

Thanks! I'm going to try the candle wax. I know I read about a few things you could use but I have candle wax and want to get it repaired ASAP
