i have a r-com 3 egg incubator but call duck eggs take 26 days to hatch so i couldnt select duck cause it incubates for 28 days what would i do

i dont want to mess it up and kill the eggs i get so people please help im new to incubating

Do you have the eggs ready to go now? Or are you just preparing in advance?

Letting it run empty for two days is a good idea...seems like it would work.

You should get in touch with Scott. When he did Call eggs in his Brinsea Mini Advance (it's fully-automatic too), I wonder if he did a 26-day incubation period or a 28-day incubation period?

If they are really good quality calls, and the parentage is tight bodied, the eggs are very hard to hatch out, your best bet is to let a broody hen incubate them out herself you might have a much better hatch
