How do you hatch eggs from a hatchery

Hi! I have a broody hen and I am going to buy eggs from Meyer hatchery! Have you bought from them? I was wondering if I do anything different when the eggs get here? Do I put them straight under the hen or do I let them sit? I am only buying two? What is recommended?

How many eggs are you ordering? Is your broody hen a bantam? You should let them sit in an egg carton fat end up for about 8 hours at room temp. Then you just put them under her. Blue Andalusians are gorgeous birds.

Thank you! He’s she is a Rhode Islam red mixed with bantam ! And she was hatched by a d,uccle! I am ordering two eggs!

Lol! I would be careful ordering only two, you might only end up with one or even no chicks. I personally would order at least 6 to guarantee you get at least one chick. Have you thought about letting her sit on infertile eggs for about 21 days, ordering blue andalusian chicks from the hatchery and then sticking them under her at night? Also, how long has she already been broody?
