How Do You Know If Your Chickens Have Lice?

Hi All,

The other day when I checked on my setting hen, I saw a small balck bug scurry into her neck feathers. Would this be lice? And if it is, she is setting right now with chicks due any minute, I think.

Would I wait to apply "lice" powder?
