Would solar lights in the coop be enough to keep egg production going? I was thinking of a couple in the run area and maybe one in the actual coop area. I know there are both path and spot light types; what would work best and how many my run is 6 x 2.6 and my coop area is 3 x 2.5. I have both buttons and bobs. In two coops of course and getting ready to start a 3rd.

I'm curious about this as well. I'm thinking I might run a strand of white LED Christmas lights along the top of their cage (only about 12inches high) and put them on a timer.

I put out 2 solar spot lights with on off switches and they seem to work great. My husband gets up at 4 to get ready for work so he will turn them on then and will turn them off when the sun comes up. This will lengthen the day yet they will get sleep at night. We can tweek on it as needed and is also supplies light for me one dark comes early after the time change. I was glad I found some with switches!
