Hi, I just started a batch of eggs, but it is difficult to keep humidity right. Every time I add even a little water, the humidity shoots up to 55-60%. I am wondering what the safest way to lower it is. I have been opening the incubator just a little to let some out, and it doesn't seem to affect the temperature too much. Is that the best way to lower it? Thank you!

I do the dry incubation method.

Try to keep humidity 25 to 30 percent. Air usually does that for me. Then raise to 65 to 75 percent for lockdown.

If you air humidity was too high and wanted to lower it dry rice will help. Or those little silica bags that come in shoes and beef jerky.

I don't know the name of my incubator. Its a made in china type thing. Similar to the Janoel I think. Here is a photo. Thanks
