How do you make a unbroody hen addopt chicks?

I have a chicken that's flying over the fence many many times. We tried everything to stop it but we still aren't able. So we want to kill it. If we get other baby chicks, my old chickens might peck them to death. None of my chickens are broody. Any suggestions to make all of my old chickens accept a baby chick?


P.S. We are free ranging them and don't want to stop free ranging them

Yes, a brooder. Older chickens will kill chicks.

You cannot make an un-broody hen accept chicks. You simply cannot do it. Even broody hens sometimes don't accept chicks they didn't hatch. And some broody hens don't know how to RAISE chicks, they just want to do the hatching.

It's hormonal.
