How do you send birds

Can just anybody ship birds? Do you need a license?

Technically to legally ship birds your supposed to be NPIP. However, I don't know of any post office that actually follows the regulation.

I'm sure someone who has done this will reply, but in the meantime, it seems you need NPIP certification to ship live birds; you might search for more info on the forum about this.

Are you just asking in general? Or are you thinking of some place specific?

While you technically have to be NPIP certified, people ship eggs and birds all the time without paperwork.

Well a lady in MD is interested in some Spaldings I have and I believe it would cost less for me to send them than drive 400 there and back. I do not have any idea how to send them either.

Horizon makes a box that will hold them. You definitely want try and send the males when the train is shed or short.

Just shipped 9 peachicks today in a large Horizon box.About $100 for up to 20lbs total weight with USPS,,box size didn't matter
