I was just curious how people ship eggs. I've heard bubble wrap is an eggs best friend. And how much does it generally cost?

I use heavy duty bubblewrap, masking tape top and bottom with the breed marked on the aircell end, and double-wrap each egg, then line the box with bubblewrap, sometimes putting egg cartons on the bottom for extra cushioning, place the eggs side by side with their aircells up, fill in spaces with extra bubblewrap pieces, shredded paper, etc. If it's cold, I line the box with quilt batting as well. Here is a link with some photos taken by PurpleChicken of a box I sent him:

The most it's ever cost me to send a box of eggs was $16 to Washington State and the P.O. send it parcel post instead of Priority, taking a solid week to get there. Grrrrr.
