How do you show chickens?

I've had chickens for a year but I've been interested in showing, however I have not the slightest clue on how to show or where to start. How do you show chickens? What do they look for in the chickens? Basically any chicken showing info would be great!

Find a show in your area and attend it.
Talk to any and everyone you can that is there showing.
You'll learn a ton, see a lot of breeds, meet some great people.

If you are a minor there are also usually county fair, 4H, FFA, etc type shows as well.
