How do you store duck eggs? I'm assuming they are bigger then chicken eggs. As I was driving to get my ducklings this morning (

) it was random thought I had. Also, when do Pekins start laying?

Laying around 4-6 months. I get egg cartons from friends and use those for home use. The eggs don't fit well as Pekin's lay jumbo sized eggs but it works well enough.
The eggs I sell I purchase jumbo cartons from Amazon.com as they close a little better.

Congrats and post lots of pictures!

yeah you might need special cartons but you always just use a plastic container ,

mallard eggs are the same size if not a bit smaller than usual grade A chicken eggs so they fit in normal carton, but my rouen and muscovy eggs we have to special order cartons from a place in town

I just keep mine in a basket on the counter bc I don't refrigerate mine. We don't eat ours too often so my fridge would be full if I kept them in there!

I was thinking I could just store them on the counter until they got used! In addition to the 6 ducks, I got 24 more chickens, for a total of 41!!!! I have NO idea where I'm going to keep all the eggs once they start laying! :p

I keep mine in the refridgerator. I know we do not need to, however the people that buy my eggs seem to feel better if they know they were refridgerated.

I agree. If I were giving/selling they def would be washed and in the fridge! That's how I would want to receive them too
