How do you tape a duckling's foot?

I have a duckling with curled toes on one foot. I know the theory of toe/foot taping, but in practice I can't figure out how to actually DO it. I mean, you can tape a chicken's toes to a little flat cardboard shoe, but how do you do it with a duckling? Obviously you can't tape in between their toes as the webbed bit is in the way...

Can anyone give me some practical how-to advice?
