How do you tell?

I did a search for the answer to this question. Its mentioned in alot of posts but how can you tell when the duck has internally pipped? What do you look for?

You can see an internal pip by candling a day or so before they pip the outside of the shell. The chick/duckling will pip through the internal membrane to the air cell for its first breath of air - prior to making the first break in the shell to complete hatch. I do not recommend this practice, as it means you are interfering with the hatch during the stage when it is best to be left alone and a consistent temps/humidity are important for a good hatch.

Thank you for answering. That is exactly what I was wondering about, how people can tell if it has internally pipped when you are not suppose to open the incubator. Thanks again
