How do you transport your chickens and turkeys to be proccesed?

The title says it all. We will have 11 roos and 2 very large turkeys to bring to the procceser. The chickens will all fit into a large dog crate. The turkeys? I don't know what to do with them? What do you guys do that don't butcher them.

Yrs. ago most folks around here used gunny sacks. Now days it's popular to use cages of some sort. Would they fit in a big tote or a tub with wire over the top? You could just throw them in the trunk too. I still use gunny sacks. Works great.

I agree gunny sacks or feed bags work great they calm down quick in the dark tight space and it seems less stressful..

The processor I use loans out cages.

The line up at drop off time is VERY humorous......folks use any and everything including the back seat

Wonder how long it takes to get that smell out?
