How do you worm your chickens?

I don't have a PHd, but I know when my chickens have worms because I can see them in their poop. Horrid little white worms (round worms). I treat mine by adding some apple cider vinegar to their drinking water. It makes the digestive tract acidic, which is inhospitable to the worms.

Wormimg your chickens will give them worms

Now DE-worming them is silly unless you see worms. I use DE in their food.2%

I use wazine...Works great for me and all my chickens have been worm free.

I have never wormed a chicken. Unless you count ACV, I guess.

I won't be passing out wormer to my birds any time soon. Unless you KNOW you have a problem, I'm not a fan of giving medication for something you think you may have or have read that you are supposed to do.

All these replies make me feel better about not treating. At first I thought I was neglecting my flock my not worming. Kinda reminds me of when I was a new mom and heard some new parenting advise for the first time.

So...I worm my dogs every year to AVOID worms. I haven't notice anything with my chickens but shouldn't they be wormed anyway? And if so...no one has mentioned HOW to worm them..just how to go about determining if the have worms.

I bought a worming pellet that I mix with their pellets. Your local feed store may carry but I bought mine on line. Just Google "Verm-X". It comes in a small canister but is enough to worm a few chickens. The pellets look like tiny alfalfa tablets and a measuring spoon with instructions. Mine didn't eat them even mixed with their lay pellets. I used some high protein wet cat food and mixed it in that. They ate it all.
