I keep reading where a hen moved eggs from one place (nest) to another location. Not having hands, HOW does a hen manage to pick up several eggs and move them someplace that often the human owner cannot find?

The first few times I read about this, I figured that a snake or something had eaten the eggs, but I just read about it again from someone else.

Who'd've thunk it. Dang, that's pretty darn smart for a chicken. I never imagined their planning anything like that or having such determination/will. Maybe they're MUCH smarter than I thought that they were.

Try moving a broody hen and she will clutch her eggs and when you think you have them all one can fall. Sly critters.

I have seen them rolled slyly by means of butt locomotion too. Next time we are tempted to call em dumb we should all try doing THAT!

Now that's a term I won't soon forget. Man, the things I'm learning today.
