How far do your ladies wander from the coop?

I suppose many people are concerned that their ladies will wander too far - but I have the opposite dilemma.

In planning a location for the coop, I am trying to weigh access to electricity, ease of egg collecting, dry ground (I have a lot of wet space I want to avoid), zoning set-backs, etc... The spot that seems best for the chicken coop is also the furthest from the lawn & gardens, where I actually want them to free range during the day: it's about 200' away. Think this will work?

They'll stay near the coop at first, then gradually range all over, seeking the tastiest morsels. Mine have the run of my ~1/3-acre enclosed back yard, with all of its hedges and hidey spots. Welcome to BYC! And congratulations of becoming a chicken wrangler.
