how far off the ground for nesting boxes?

We're almost to the point of putting the nesting boxes in the coop! A friend of ours gave us one of those metal ten hole two layer setups. How far from the floor should it be? The hens are all Dominiques. Thank you!

About 14" off the ground. Have a perch so the chickens can jump to the 2nd layer, like a 2x2, not big enough so they would be comfortable to roost on it for long periods of time.

Ours are 18 inches off the ground.
