How fast do they grow?

I just got my little chicks today(yipppppe). They are EE's. I only want to keep seven or so. How big will they be in 4 weeks or so? How big at 6 weeks?
I only want to keep about 7. I am wondering if I should wait until they are older, so I know if they are a boy or girl, or find a home now for them. I ordered 15 pullets and a roo. They also put in a couple extras. I don't know if the extras are pullets or roos.

once they start to get their feathers in they grow extremely fast.

Beautiful. We have two EE's and they look strikingly like our G Wyandotte. The cheeks are puffier and they have green legs, otherwise identical. Much cuteness. If we weren't so bent on egg production we may well have just gotten a bunch of EE's like you.

I like that picture. It looks so much like the brown one is telling the others what to do!

Sigh. Guess I will just have to hold on to them so I can figure out which are boy(or boys) and girls There a couple of the little fluff balls I already rather like.
They will hop in my hand when I reach down. I hope they end of being pullets.

I read somewhere the ones that feather first are girls. Is that true for EE's?

I swear they grow DAILY. It's scary sometimes; I would go to work, and they'd look bigger when I got home. It's just crazy how fast they grow. Take lots of pictures and enjoy them while they are small, cause it won't last
