I’m echoing @rosemarythyme here, super young chicks are generally not strong enough.
Primarily though, I just use the cheapest gravity fed chick waterers I can find. I don’t generally invest in anything too expensive or involved(I know you can put horizontal nipples in pretty much any container) for chicks because they use it for such a short period.
6 weeks was when I started integrating my chicks, so that’s when they got exposed to what they’d use in the main flock.
