How introduce new rooster and hens

Hello. A friend of mine just built a new coop and is going to purchase 3 to 4 hens. I have a jersey giant Cockrell who is 4 months old that I am giving him. What is the best way for him to introduce the new rooster to the new hens? He has not purchased the hens yet and I'm wondering if the rooster should be taken to new coop first and have a couple days alone to adjust then add the adult hens? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have read most of this great material you posted but still have a question. The coop is brand new no chickens have lived in it, the rooster is coming from my flock to give to my friend and he is purchasing a few hens. Just wondering if I bring the rooster (who is 4 months old) over to new coop first and he would be by himself for couple days. Then add the new adult hens?
