How large are Coturnix eggs

Hi Everyone!

I am building my Coturnix cage with a sloped bottom so the eggs roll out. I need to know how much space to allow for the egg to roll under the front bar. So... how large(inches) is a typical Coturnix egg?

Fairly small comparatively. ( The little brown mottled ) Sorry I can't give exact inches. I would estimate 1 inch or so though.

I'm hoping someone who has quail can measure one for me. I've seen many pictures but it's hard to tell a size in inches from a picture.

I hatched corturnix a few weeks ago. I no longer have the shells and they haven't reached laying age. Sorry I can't be more help.

I built one of the pens with a slanted floor. I left an inch and a quarter gap for the eggs to
Roll out and it works great.
