How Long After Hatch Do They Start Layinh. Agaim?

I have a wheaten Marans who we t broody, and after a few weeks I broke don and got
Her 8 fertile hatching eggs of different types. Now she's happy as a clam. The eggs should hatch July 6-8. My question is this; how soon After the egga hatch will mama hen start laying again? She was my best layer before she went broody.

It really depends upon the momma. She may not lay for weeks or months or she might start fairly soon. Time will tell you for sure. It also depends if she goes broody again right away, though that is less likely.

She probably won't start to lay again until she's 'weaned' the chicks....which could be anywhere from 3-12 weeks
