how long are eggs good for after they are laid and put in the fridge

If in doubt....you can drop an egg in a glass of water....if it floats toss it. As eggs age they loose moisture and an air pocket starts to form on the big end of the egg. If they are old enough to float you don't want to eat them.

Yes, they last a long time..especially if you store them in the very back of your fridge where it is the coldest..................
