How long before they lay we have four six month old Rhode Island Reds

They act like they are going to lay but it has been three weeks since they started this excitement and digging holes and squatting in them with great big grins on their faces.

But nothing yet?

I was told they lay at 6 to 8 months old. I have some young ones myself but have a way to go still. They're only 4 months old.

My Rhodies all laid by the time they were 22 weeks old.

Be patient.

Are you certain they are all pullets?!!
