How long between eggs?

We had our 17 week old RIR delivered last Thursday. One of them laid an egg in the shipping container and one laid an egg the next evening. We have not had an egg since then. I know that I am a worried new parent but should I be concerned? Could it be from the switch of food from the farm to us? Could it be from the heat, it has been unseasonably warm?

When the pullets start to lay it is not always at regular intervals, not until they have been laying for awhile. Stress, heat, ect can interupt their laying as well. If everyone is eating, drinking, and acting normal just be patient

Try not to worry too much. I know it's hard.

It's probably mostly the changes they have been through, that and shipping stress. They could take a few weeks to settle down, especially since they couldn't have been laying long.

Patience....
