How long can a wooden chick coop stay "infected" with anything/everything?

We have a chick coop that is 4x8x3ft. We use it every 3 years to raise our chicks to full feather age. Last summer I am pretty sure one of our turkeys had backhead and we isolated the turkey in the chick coop and it dies the next day. That was at least six months ago and a cold winter. Outside temps were -10f at one point. Could anything survive on the wood for 6 months through winter. Could any other thing survive 2-3 years on the wood and though multiple winters?

The protozoal eggs can survive for years in contaminated soil/feces. Infected birds are carriers, if they survive.
Chickens and turkey's should be completely separated from each other. Worm chickens monthly to end the cecal worm lifecycle which is the host for the protozoa. The protozoa is deadly in turkey's, but not so much in chickens. However, young chicks may not survive the infection.
