how long do eggs last for eating in a nesting box?

My girls just started laying eggs and it is super hot here. How long can an egg sit out in the heat before it becomes inedible?

(no I don't want to eat them whilst in the nesting box LOL, sorry)

I think in the super hot no more than a day or two. No cracks either.
